My name is LaSheta Skinner, and I am a professional dance choreographer, educator, and director in Dallas, TX. I have a diverse background in the performing arts as a dancer through high school and at the collegiate level. As a teacher in the studio setting and the public school district. I have also been fortunate to be a dance director for the last 5 years. I have trained in various styles of dance such as Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Modern and more. I was a member of my high school drill team, where I served as Spirit Leader and Senior Lieutenant Colonel. Upon graduating high school, I was awarded a position on the Trinity Valley Community College Cardette Dance Team. Along with being a member, I was a Freshman Representative and a Lieutenant on the officer line, as well as a member of the Showgirls competition team. I hold two degrees: an Associate's in Kinesiology and a Bachelor's in Creative Advertising. I am currently earning my Master's of Fine Arts in Choreography. I am a member of the Texas Dance Educator Association and the National Dance Educator Organization. Over the years I have been fortunate to choreograph for various fall and spring productions, award winning competition routines, field routines, and more! I am currently at Emmett J. Conrad High School, where I am the Head of the Dance Department and Director of the Varsity Drill Team. I have a lot of love and experience with dance that I am eager to work with your dancer and/or team!
